Bulgaria's Capital is Drowning

In the last days intense rainfalls downpoured all over the country. Most affected are the districts of Sofia, Plovdiv, Kurdjali and Smolian. Heavy material losses are caused, informed from the Ministry of Disaster.
Sofia is drowning. More than 500 signals are received on the emergency phones of Civil Protection.
Vladaia river overflowed and flooded the residential district of Vladaia. All bridges along the river are blocked by concrete waste and fallen trees.
The canal of Boianska river also overflowed yesterday.
Sofia's districts: ‘Izgrev', ‘Iztok', ‘Bukston', ‘Hladilnika', ‘Suha Reka', ‘Gorna bania', ‘Kniajevu' informed for floods.
There are 34 soft road accidents and 1 heavy till this moment in the Bulgaria's capital.
Pancharevo, Samokov, Dolna Bania and Ihtiman (villages and towns situated close to Sofia) are also affected by the downpour.
