Three years and two months now the 54-old Bulgarian Irma Ivanova decays behind the prison bars in Ecuador without verdict.

She herself tells the story of her destiny in front of local newspaper ‘El Comersio'

‘My last vacation took me from Bulgaria directly into women prison in capital Quito, tells the Bulgarian. She wanted to relax 15 days in Ecuador , but thing didn't happen just like that.

‘My plans ruined on the 10^thday, when the police captured me. Form then now no magistrate haven't told how long and what I lie about.' says Ivanova.

Everything started with her decision to see the sights of monument ‘middle of the Earth'

Which shows exactly where the Equator passes.

The Bulgarian, which trades with cars in Spain together with her sons, hired, by advice, a guide.

When sightseeing started, the guide left her for a while. Few minutes later policemen caught the Bulgarian for drug traffic. It appeared the guide carried a kilogram dope.

‘They threatened me, if I don't collaborate, they'll throw me in prison for 16 years.' Says the Bulgarian.

Since then she had appeared before the court just once- in February 2005 on a preliminary case, but her state remained unclear.

‘I thought everything will come in place, because they have no proves against me.' declares Ivanova. In the beginning she hired a layer, but after he took her ‘a lot of money', he disappeared.

Now she has no finance for another defender, and she received no answer to her letter to Bulgarian Embassy in Venezuela, the closest in the area.

For the moment Irma survives of making post cards for a group of missioners. For this work she gets nearly 80 $ per month, with which she bought herself at first cloths and coverings.

Irma Ivanova lies to her mother in Bulgaria, that she is I Spain, so she would not be worried.
