The wall of dam lake situated near the village of Domishte (Rhodopi mountain, 20 km South from Kardjali) has almost failed.
The possibility of flood is increasing. Flood might cut off one of the main roads from Bulgaria to Greece throught the Makaza pass.
If the wall fails the flood will bring irreparable damage to the stream of the Varbitza river.
The dam lake is operated by a 'Zeminvest' company property to the local Agriculture Ministry.
