The Deputy Speaker of German Parliament, Hasselfeldt Gerda praised the fairness and independence of Libyan Judiciary, voicing her respect for its verdicts.

She stressed the importance of the distinctive relations between her country, currently presiding the European Union, and the Great Jamahiriya as an important country in the region and a bridge for cooperation and communication between the African and European Unions.

The German official also commended the Leader's efforts in promoting the march of the African Union and activating its institutions for establishing peace and stability throughout the African continent, and in Darfur Region , in particular. This came during her meeting today n Tripoli with the Assistant Secretary of GPC for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation .

The meeting, which was attended also by Director of European Department at the GPCFLIC and the Ambassador of Germany to Great Jamahiriya, addressed the bilateral cooperation and the means to promote and consolidate these relations in different fields to serve the common interest of both friendly Libyan and German People.
