Congress Tourism in Bulgaria is Up to Standard

Executive director of IMEX, the biggest expo for congress tourism, Paul Flacket claimed, among 227 countries Bulgaria takes the 47thplace in the ranking for congress tourism ICCA for 2006. In compare, most popular destinations according to the rank- list are USA, Germany and United Kingdom, and Vienna, Paris and Singapore are the cities where had been occurred the most of the events.
In Flacket's opinion, business tourism will continue to develop, because of entering of low-cost air transporters and dynamic developing in the business. He pointed out, users of this tourist service more and more prefer short- term stay combined with exotic destination.
IMEX director reminded, every 19 cents of invested in congress tourism Euro, are reinvested in the local economy.
