Bulgarian National Park Rila Joins PAN Parks Family

National Park Rila received a certificate for full membership in PAN Parks (Protected Areas Network Parks).
This means that the park covers all 5 criteria for membership: nature treasures and saved wild nature, its long-term saving and managing, good visitors' attitude, creating of strategy for development of sustainable tourism and the presence of business-partners, which posses PAN Parks certificates.
Five years ago National Park ‘Central Balkan' received the same certificate and that makes Bulgaria the only country in Europe with two parks in the PAN Parks family.
Foundation PAN Parks will celebrate its 10 years anniversary with international conference that will be hosted by the newest member - NP Rila.
The forum will be leaded under the motto ‘Days of European Wild Nature' and will take place on October 8-11.
In the event will participate more than 100 representatives from 20 different countries.
PAN Parks foundation is European NGO, created by the initiative of WWF.
