This was confirmed today by Plovdiv Mayor Slavcho Atanasov.
The Mayor was officially notified by the Head of the Cabinet of the President Nikola Kolev.
The reasons for Plovdiv not to be preferred are that the city does not have enough high-quality presidential apartments.
The Mayor announced that the Head of State Georgi Parvanov was indeed in Plovdiv where together they have discussed the conditions for accepting so many high-ranking officials during the forum.
It tuned out that only two of the hotels meet the requirements for welcoming such important guests. The lack of an appropriate hotel base, the infrastructure to the airport and others are the reason why the forum will take place in Sofia.
