There is an undergoing construction on the protected areas of the Sunny beach resort informs political club “Ecoglasnost” in a declaration to the prime-minister, the ministry of environment and water and the ministry of regional development and public works.

The declaration is sent also to the regional governor of Bourgas and the mayor of Nessebar, informs bourgas.info.

“Ecoglasnost” expresses its indignation that the areas are being urbanized and annihilated on purpose.

“We are left with the impression that with the silent agreement of the competent state institutions, on the protected sand formations, an infrastructure is being built, trees are planted, pavements and parking lots are constructed.

There is the conclusion that all these construction activities with the inaction of the responsible institutions serve certain interests”, is written in the declaration.

“Ecoglasnost” insists on the status of the natural attraction “Sand dunes” to remain exclusive state property. The groups also suggests it to be included in the list of protected areas and a plan to be prepared and adopted for the management of the whole strip.

“Ecoglasnost” threatens with protests if measures are not undertaken to protect the environment in the region of Sunny beach.
