Bulgarian Population Decreased with 40,000 People in 2007

The permanent population of the country is 7,640,240 people.
This was announced in preliminary data taken from researches ‘Population and demographical processes' in 2007 by National Statistical Institute (NSI).
Last year in Bulgaria were born 75,915 children, 75,349 from who-born alive.
The over active population in 2007 was 1,717,000 people. For a period of one year this part of the population decreased with 22,000 people.
The young part of the Bulgarians - those under the labor age is up to 1,106,000 people.
The active population by the end of 2007 was 4,817,000 people or 63% ot the whole population.
The average age in the country is 41,5 years.
Almost 3,000 Bulgarians had declared last year for change of their address in Bulgaria with another abroad, which means they are considered as emigrants.
Meanwhile 1,560 people changed their address in another state with a Bulgarian one.
