Sofia and Vitosha Mountain - Destinations for Weekend Tourism

It is not good idea Vitosha mountain to be separated from Sofia city in the process of dividing into districts of Bulgaria as a tourist product, stated Stoian Lazarov, director of ‘Tourist Services' Sofia's municipality enterprises. Even the capital's emblem marks Vitosha as element, describing Sofia, comments Lazarov.
In the initial idea Vitosha and Sofia are two different destinations: ‘National Park Vitosha' and ‘Sofia - ancient and young'.
Meanwhile there are active works going on developing Sofia as destination fro weekend tourism. This will be mostly directed to Romanian and Greek tourists.
