A suit against the torturers of the Bulgarian nurses sentenced in Libya is to be filed by the end of the month, sources say.

Some of the nurses' relatives have already been questioned, Sofia's Chief Prosecutor Nikolay Kokinov told a press conference.

According to Kokinov the police are gathering information and talking to witnesses. The probe is under the control of Sofia's Chief Prosecutor Nikolai Kokinov.

He specified that eleven people would be questioned during the check - some of them have already been interrogated. The probe is headed by Prosecutor Aksiniya Matosyan.

Kokinov also said that high-ranking diplomats could be among those questioned. "If we find that a crime was committed against Bulgarian citizens, those responsible will be charged," Nikolay Kokinov said.
