The official website of Manchester United reviewed Dimiter Berbatov’s first season with the kit of the English champion.

According to the analyzers of manutd.com. the strongest moment of the Bulgarian striker in the season has been in the game from Premiere league against West Ham in October 2008 which finished 2:0 for Manchester United.

Then Berbatov showed his incredible technique and assisted for the second goal of Kristiano Ronaldo. In the end of December and in January the captain of the Bulgarian national team had a main contribution for some of United’s victories.

On Christmas Berbatov passed for the score of Carlos Teves for the victory with 1:0 against Stoke City and afterwards scored for the victories again with 1:0 against Middlesbrough and Bolton. In the end of the season the Bulgarian national had a big contribution for the 5:2 victory over his former team Tottenham.

In the beginning of December the striker couldn’t take part in the world club championship won by United. Then Mitko caught a virus and determined the period as “the worst in his life”.

Dimiter Berbatov played in altogether 42 games with United this season and scored 14 goals in all tournaments. Some of the specialists in UK even compared the born in Blagoevgrad striker with the legend of the “red devils” Eric Cantona.
