The world figure skating champion Maxim Staviski made a statement on the occasion of the car accident near Bulgarian town of Bourgas.

“I cannot find words to express the way I feel. I am deeply distressed and shocked by what happened.I feel deepest and most sincere sympathy for the families of the victims.

The only thing I pray for and I do now is to help with what I can for Manuela (ed. the girl in coma) to be saved and Valentin and Yoanna to recover. I understand the public interest and I want clearly to point out that I not less than the other people want a just process”, said to BTA Staviski.

“The tragedy is enormous and very personal and it refers to all my relatives. I know that this will change my whole life but also that of Albena (ed. Denkova).

I cannot comment anything in details until the investigation is going on, but I will cooperate fully to the prosecutor's office and the court”.
