Bulgaria will join the ‘South Stream' pipeline project, declared Bulgaria's President Georgy Purvanov on the meeting with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. We are ready to incorporate in the project, said Purvanov. The competent organizations will soon discuss the project and will take the final decision, added the President.
Russian ‘Gazprom' and the Italian company ‘ENI' negotiated on Saturday about the realization of the 'South Stream' project, for the construction of a pipeline across the Black sea bed.
‘South Stream' consists of a system of pipelines which connects Russia and the EU.
Aleksander Medvedev, vice chairman of ‘Gazprom' said on Sunday in Zagreb, that it is not impossible for other participants to join the pipeline.
Their participation will be only in the earth part of the line. The part that passes across the Black sea bed belongs to ‘Gazprom and ‘ENI' on equal shares - 50:50.
