“In the Palace” festival attracts over 4000 movies

More than 4000 films from all over the world have been received till the present moment for the festival “In the Palace” which will be held between 20 and 27th June in Blachik, Bulgaria.
The fest is for professional short movies, which haven’t been shown till now in Bulgaria and which are no more than 45 minutes in length.
This is the first festival for short movies in Bulgaria, funded by the MEDIA program of the European Union.
The deadline for receiving foreign movies was 15 April, and for Bulgarian ones – it is tomorrow – 15 May.
The organizers remind that in the last edition of the fest the number of the movies that took part in it is 1600.
This year the competitive programs are six:
- Main international program with categories for feature, documentary and cartoon movie;
- TV program with categories feature, documentary and cartoon movie
- Ad video and films, music video
- Student movies with categories for feature, documentary and carton movie
- Program “In between” for hybrid forms and formats.
Chairman of the jury is the legendary producer Sanford (Sandy) Liberson.
