Vladimir Nikolov was named the most useful player in the home game of his club Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo over Lube Banka (Macerata) with 3:2 (25:15, 37:39, 17:25, 25:19, 15:9). A week ago, the team, lead by Bulgaria's new national team manager Silvano Prandi, lost from Mancheratta the Italy Cup final match.
Nikolov became the top-scorer for his team with an active of 18 points. In spite of the victory, the lost point costs Bre Banca the first place in the temporary ranking. It is now taken by Itas Diatec (Trento) after the convincing home win over Trenkwalder (Modena) with 3:0 (25:17, 25:23, 25:22).
Mathey Kazyiski is the third best scorer for Itas Diatec with 11 points. The champions' manager Radostin Stoychev did not include the other Bulgarian player in the team Krassimir Stefanov in the main team. The leaders in the table Trento and Bre Banca have 46 and 45 points respectively.
