There is a real danger that Sofia remains without central heating in the winter, because "Bulgargaz" might completely stop the supplies of natural gas to "Toplofikatsiya-Sofia".
These were the words of executive director of "Toplofikatsiya-Sofia" Petko Milevski. The Association of central heating companies insists for judicial changes, which should solve the crisis between the central heating companies and Bulgargaz.
If Bulgargaz halves the supply of blue fuels to ‘Toplofikatsiya-Sofia", the company will not be able to service its subscribers and Sofia residents will be left in the cold in the next months, this became clear from Milevski's explanation.
The 50 buildings in Sofia with 100% indebtedness are already with suspended supply, the executive director of the Sofia central heating company explained and added that 10 of them have already paid in full and have hot water. Since Thursday the company started to stop hot water to buildings with 90% unpaid bills, as their total number in the capital is 98.
Milevski explained that the company considers ways to compensate its regular payers, who will also be without hot water from Thursday and will have to buy boilers.
