Bulgaria has no future in the cheap tourism. We are now members of the EU and we can't compete with destinations like Turkey and Dubai, which construct complexes for cheap tourism and with cheap work hand.

This was stated by the president of Bulgarian Golf Association Krasimir Gergov, in the frames of the conference of luxury business ‘Lux Only'.

Gergov mencioned the construction sites of the golf projects ‘Black Sea Rama' and ‘Thracian Cliffs' near the seaside town of Balchik as example for the ambition of the country to establish it's own global luxury brand and to attract highly solvent tourists.

Besides that thanks to the local golf opportunities Bulgaria can turn into all year attraction, because the most famous ski resorts in Bulgaria  - Bansko and Pamporovo will soon be build up with high quality golf fields.
