President of Bulgaria - Georgy Parvanov will receive the legend of world cycling Eddy Merckx tomorrow at 10h.

62 - old Belgian will be special guest of Sunny Beach resort, as he arrives for the opening of the new cycling season in Bulgaria tonight.

Merckx, who is believed to be the greatest and most successful competitor of all time in the cycling sport, works in tight collaboration with Cycling Club Nessebar in the last few years.

Eddy provides bicycles and equipment for the club, which he produces.

Merckx have already visited Bulgaria once in 2005, when he gave the start of Grand Prix Sunny Beach.

Eddy Merckx have won for 5 times the biggest cycling competitions - ‘Tours de France' and ‘Giro d'Italia' and have established several world cycling records, some of which remain unbroken to this day.

The Belgian, who is Baron since 1996. will observe the first starts of the season - criteriums for ‘Bourgas' and ‘Sunny beach' Cups.
