Protest for NATURA 2000 Ended with Arrest

Hundred eco-activists gathered in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) yesterday and took to the streets of Sofia protesting, dressed in their pyjamas.
Summoned by the Government's final decision on the protected areas in NATURA 2000 program, the gathered started their protest peacefully.
After all, the police arrested some of the protesters. Witnesses and friends of the arrested claim that the policemen handled them violently, insulted and threatened them.
According to the police, protesters were disturbing the public peace.
Protesters are now released.
