Here you will find the latest articles, news, interviews and comments from today's Bulgarian press:

The Trud daily

"The wolves can eat Stanishev", Pavel Pisarev, one of the ideologists of the Left wing in BSP warns for "Trud". If BSP does not come up with a new programme and new faces in their lists at the elections, they will not be successful, Pisarev forecasts. There are constantly new scandals in our society - the suspension of Euro subsidies, the draining of funds from the National Income Agency, but there is no clear position of the Premier, his thesis is that he will not throw anyone to the wolves, Pavel Pisarev comments. But if he continues with this policy, wolves will eat him in the end, he considers.

Polish Internal Affairs Minister denied interest in the position Secretary General of NATO, "Trud" announces. Shikosrski stated that Eastern Europe has a candidate and this is the ex-Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister Solomon Pasi. East European countries had to unite behind this candidacy, so that it is taken seriously. Pasi has been in Washington for the last three days, where he has series of talks in Congress and the State Department, "Trud" reminds.

"The demand for electricity has decreased", Galina Tosheva, Executive Director of "Bulgarian energy holding" says for "Trud". The demand for energy in the region has definitely decreased and a lot of enterprises outside of Bulgaria closed down, in this sense we are feeling the crisis, but otherwise as a global problem and difficulties with money flows - no, Tosheva points out. Tosheva informed that the Minister of Economy will be offered that the holding buys up the debt of "Toplofikatsiya-Sofia" to Bulgargaz and turn it into shares. In this way the holding will become a second investor in "Toplofikatsiya" beginning January.

To be a Bulgarian woman is better, than to be a European woman in general, according to a report of the inequality of genders, announced by the EC and cited by "Trud". Women in the EU are on average 17.4 percent less paid than men for the same position, while the Bulgarian woman falls behind by only 12.7 percent.

The 24 chasa daily

After the public case "Stamen Stanchev" another Bulgarian was arrested and charged with espionage in Romania on Monday, "24 chasa" reports. The Romanian officer Florichel Akim, with the help of the Bulgarian Petar Marinov Zikulov has transferred to a "non-alliance country" standard maps of NATO, schemes and blueprints of military facilities and military equipment, defense plans, data of military frequencies and other information, connected with military communications, information agency Newsin announced.

The Sega daily

"How to exit the EU unnoticed", "Sega" discusses in the feature "Nablyudatel". The major mistake of the Bulgarian mafia was that it allowed Bulgaria to enter the EU, it strived for the billions from the billions of  Euro funds and intended after 20 years of transition period to legalize itself through a European certificate, but the opposite took place, the issue points out. According to the author, now the interest of the mafia is that Bulgaria does away with the direct control of the EU, but unnoticed - for example through a formal membership.
