Methane powered tour of Bulgaria starts on 18 May

The first of its kind environmental friendly tour “Around Bulgaria using methane” will start on 18 May. Its aim is to prove that the most environmental friendly and economic fuel so far, is accessible in all key places of the country and Bulgaria could be toured without any problems using methane.
During the tour all 75 working methane stations in 35 places on the territory of Bulgaria will be visited. The total length of the route is over 2500 km.
The two automobiles which will take part in the expedition - Volkswagen Touran EcoFuel and Caddy EcoFuel, are manufactured to work with natural gas. They have also small petrol reservoirs with a volume of 13 liters which are only for reserve. The engines of the automobiles are with a volume of two liters and in their usual work they don’t differ from the petrol aggregates.
