Putin's Program in Bulgaria - Economics and Culture

A serial of contracts are expected to be signed during the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

One of the documents is the agreement for NPP ‘Belene' constructing, which is about to start in the second half of 2008.

That was announced by Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev on a press conference.

He also confirmed, an International project company will be established in connection with the oil pipeline ‘Bourgas-Alexandroupolis' construction.

There is an approved agreement for returning back to Russia the spent nuclear fuel from BAS' reactor (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences).

The Russian side is expected to approve a program for cooperation in the areas of science and culture, added Stanishev.

The tourism collaboration program is already finished, but won't be signed during this visit. What about ‘Sought Stream' project - there are still many questions to be clarified.

No agreement will be signed on every price, Premier was categorical.

We remind you, the  Head of Russian State arrives in Bulgaria on Thursday evening, and his official visit starts from Friday, January 18.

Along with Vladimir Putin arrives the vice Premier and most probably future President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

He will have a special meeting with Bulgarian President Parvanov.
