It is not serious to think that the Bulgarians can change their alphabet with Latin one, claimed Bulgarian Prime minister Sergei Stanishev in an interview for the “Formula Vlasti” edition of the Russian national TV.In an answer to the precise question of Mihail Gusman, author of the sequence, Stanishev said that the fact that “exactly on our land starts the distribution of the Cyrillic alphabet, is a reason for national pride”.
“From this year, the Cyrillic alphabet became official alphabet of the European Union for the first time – all documents are prepared and distributed in Bulgarian, and during all sessions of the European institutions there is Bulgarian translation”, reminds Stanishev to the Russia television.
According to the prime minister, a sign of the good relations between Sofia and Moscow is the 23% increase of the Russian tourists in Bulgaria.
