Petar Stoychev is the Bulgarian Flag Bearer at the Olympics

The overall winner of the Open Water World Championship eight times will bear the Bulgarian flag during the opening ceremony of the Olympics 2008 Beijing.
His name will be officially announced today by the president of BOC Stefka Kosatadinova, before she departs for China.
Among the other names, having been discusssed to lead the Bulgarian delegation were the national volleyball team's captain Plamen Konstantinov and the gymnast Yordan Yovchev.
The volleyball team, however, will not attend the ceremony, and Yovchev starts competing on August 9.
It was also announced that Martin Stoev's team will be accommodated in the Olympic Village, in one apartment with 9 double rooms, a living room and three toilets.
