Today the National statistics institute (NSI) published preliminary data on the average monthly salary in Bulgaria. 515 levs is the average salary that the Bulgarian citizen received in June.

Higher (563 levs) is the salary in the budget organizations and funds, managed by the state. NSI calculates that commercial companies, enterprises and organizations with income from business activities received a salary of 505 levs in June.

Compared to the previous month (May) state employees have received 30 levs more on average, while employees of private firms - 8 levs more.

Altogether the increase of the average salary in June compared to May is 12 levs. In May, however, there is a decrease of the average salary of 512 levs average in April.

By sectors, again the highest average salary is in financial consulting (1133 levs) and production industry (1011 levs).

In the processing industry are the highest average salaries reported by NSI: 1680 levs in the production of coke, refined petrol and atom fuel. The average for the entire industry, however, is 478 levs.

The lowest - around 300 levs - is the salary of leather-workers, 327 in textile. In construction the average salary is 441 levs.

In commerce and property repairs the average salary is 387 levs. In hotel and restaurant industry the average salary is only 322 levs, NSI points out.

In education the average salary is 502 levs, in health care - 548 levs.

761 levs is the average salary of those employed in "compulsory public insurance" and "state management".
