Tornado swept away roofs, destroyed walls and uprooted trees in Zavet municipality in the Bulgarian region of Razgrad.

Over 200 families in three villages remained without roofs. Many places don't have electricity. There is no data for injured people.

A little before 6 pm yesterday, a tornado passed through Zavet municipality where a state of emergency has been declared. Two other municipalities have also been hit by the storm: Tsar Kaloyan and Isperih.

The roofs and walls of several public buildings – kindergarten, youth home, social home have been destroyed.

Trees uprooted by the strong wind have hurdled the roads between the villages.

At the moment the caused damages are being assessed.
