Bulgarian school children inject ethanol in their blood

The number of school children in Bulgaria injecting ethyl alcohol directly in their blood is growing, announced the chairman of the Regional council on drugs in Blagoevgrad dr. Temenujka Lyubenova.
Most often the children who resort to this new method are aged between 12 and 14.
“The consequences of one fix could be fatal”, explained dr. Lyubenova. She specified that the “fashion” was spreading throughout the whole territory of Bulgaria with the first cases being registered in the summer of this year.
There are still no exact numbers for the students from the region of Blagoevgrad who are injecting their blood with ethyl alcohol. Dr. Lyubenova, however, is certain that such method leads to addiction.
A serious problem for the young people is also the usual way of consumption of alcohol. The statistic shows that the cases in which 18-, 19-year old teenagers are stable alcoholics.
