The Romanian minister of economy Adrian Videanu believes that probably Bulgaria will ask for electricity from Romania as Hungary has already done. This informed europe.bg.
According to Videanu, even when it doesn't get natural gas from Russia anymore, Romania could cover its energy needs because the country is energy independent.
Earlier, the Romanian minister of economy announced emergency situation in the country because of the cut of the gas supply from Russia. He explained that a shortage of around seven million cubic meters of gas had to be covered.
Videany said that at the moment there were no problems but if the temperatures fall under minus 10-15 degree Celsius the amounts of gas for the industry would have to be reduced for a short period.
