Russia Presses Bulgaria for Selling Pipeline Share

Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Asen Gagauzov confirmed for the Dnevnik daily that Kazakhstan is keen to join the project.
He added that such negotiations could be launched after the incorporation of the company that will design and build the pipeline.
The president of Russia's 'Transneft' Simeon Veinstoc who was tapped to operate the pipeline project, told Interfax news agency that U.S. company ‘Chevron' and Russian-British company ‘TNK-BP' will likely negotiate for the Bulgaria and Greek stakes in the project.
Russians asked the Bulgarian side to speed up work on the project.
Veinstock was criticising Sofia for failing to name the Bulgarian companies that will be involved in the undertaking, reported the Dnevnik media.
