Here you will find the latest articles, news, interviews and comments from today's Bulgarian press:

The Trud daily

"The debates on the vote will take place on Tuesday", "Trud" announces. Probably the debates on the record within the limits of one mandate seventh non-confidence vote towards the cabinet "Stanishev" will take place next Tuesday on an emergency session of the parliament. This was clarified yesterday, after SDS, DSB, BND, Movement "Napred" and independent representatives submitted their motives for the deposition of the government. The vote is about the general policy and failure in the three priorities of the government - European integration, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.

"Political scientist: It would be bad if they challenge the elections", "Trud" writes. The worst that can happen to the Bulgarian state and society is that there is a challenge of the parliamentary elections", political scientist Ognyan Minchev announced yesterday from "Transparency without borders". This will lead to a crisis of the state as a whole and will question our membership in the EU. Such a scenario can take place, if measures are not taken against the purchasing of votes.

"5 years probation sentence for Kuzov for pedophilia" "Trud" announces. The independent deputy Vadimir Kuzov will have to serve a probation sentence for pedophilia of 5 years with a 5-year probation period. This was decided yesterday by the Supreme Court of Appeals. The sentence is final. According to the Supreme Court of Appeals the sentence will be read for castigation at Kuzov's work place - the parliament. He must leave the National Assembly right after that. "The probation sentence is an extremely pitiable story", Kuzov commented.

The 24 chasa daily

"EC: You will survive, hold on salaries", "24 chasa" points out. Bulgaria will handle comparatively painlessly the world recession, the European Commission forecasts, assessing positively the government's measures against the crisis. "Do the same, as before and you will save yourselves", the finance commissioner of the Community Joaquin Almunia advised yesterday, pointing to the budget surplus and the fiscal policy. According to the European Commission, although there is no stability plan for banks and stimuli for the business, the measures taken for the support of the investors' trust are a good move. The decision of the cabinet to focus on structure measures, in order to strengthen the flexibility of the economy, also represents a timely and adequate answer of the economy's prospective, the Euro Commission points out.

The Sega daily

"Bankers fell out because of high interest rates", is the leading topic in "Sega". A scandalous statement by banker Stoyan Alexandrov almost blew up yesterday the economic forum. Ex Finance Minister, currently Director of Commercial DBank, called upon the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) to immediately send its own people in 3-4 banks, which offer such high interest rates on deposits that they look like a Ponzi scheme. The manager of BNB Ivan Iskrov immediately retorted: "There is no single bank in Bulgaria, which needs special supervision. I guarantee that out financial system is healthy and this can be seen in the data we publish each week", the manager pointed out.
