"South stream" agreement signed

The agreement for the route and the construction of the gas pipeline “South stream” was signed in the Russian town of Socci by the executive director of the Bulgarian energy holding Galina Tosheva and the chief of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller, informed the holding. The document was endorsed during the visit of prime minister Stanishev in Moscow last month.
Bulgaria and Russia will establish a joint company with equal participation for the implementation of the pre-investment study and for the design, construction and exploitation of the Bulgaria part of “South stream”. They will also sign a shareholder agreement for their rights and obligations as associates. According to the document the companies will be co-owners only of the future routes but not of the currently existent network.
