It is expected that tomorrow the European Commission will make a decision to file the first suit against Bulgaria in the European court.

The reason is the emergency telephone 112, which is still not functioning in the country, a representative of the EC pointed out, cited by the Bulgarian National Radio.

The source assumes minimum probability that the Bulgarian authorities will receive another postponement.

The punishment procedure against Bulgaria because of the phone for emergency calls started with a first written warning in October last year. In April a second final warning letter was sent.

Bulgaria is the only country in the EU where it is still not possible that a citizen in jeopardy, no matter of his location, finds help at the European free telephone number.

Just two weeks ago the Ministry of emergency situations pointed out that they have not been informed for the filing of such a lawsuit and that work is being done for the implementation of the telephone network 112.
