The vote will be on Tuesday.
64 members of the opposition have signed the motion.
The motion is based on the accusation for an irresponsible behavior of the government, which behavior has led to the most serious crisis in the education since 1990 and has caused an unprecedented teachers strike.
According to the right parties education is not a real priority of the government despite the many claims and promises for more financial resources.
The opposition believes that at the moment the reforms are only under the form of closures of schools and curtailment of teachers but the conditions of studying and the quality of education are not being improved.
The cynical attitude of the “Stanishev” cabinet towards the legal and just demands of the teachers is an apparent denial of established democratic principles, which is an expression of the government's helplessness and lack of political ethics, claim the introducers of the motion.
This is the third motion of non-confidence against the “Stanishev” government for only two years. The first was due to the failure to manage the consequences of the floods and the second – for the policy in the field of health care.
The two previous motions did not pass. According to the regulations of the Bulgarian parliament the motion of non-confidence will be accepted if more than half of the members of parliament vote, which is 121 people. The triple coalition has altogether 169 votes.
