BNP Paribas Finances the First Stage of Belene NPP

BNP Paribas won the first competition for financing of Bulgarian nuclear power plant “Belene”, informed the National electricity company.Together with its partners BNP Paribas will secure the necessary for the beginning of the construction of second nuclear plant with a credit of 250M euro.
According to experts the sum is enough to cover the necessary expenses for the first year, including designing, equipment supply, and beginning of construction works.
The whole amount of the funding of Belene NPP construction is 4 bln euro.
Chief implementer of the construction is the Russian company “AtomStroyExport”.
