FT: Borisov promised to clean Bulgaria

Boiko Borissov – mayor of Sofia and founder of the center-right populist party GERB, which is expected to win the forthcoming parliamentary elections, receives visitors in his home, writes “Financial times”.
In the well kept garden in the yard of the surrounded with a wall house Borissov points with a cigar in hand to a low building with tile roof:
“I grew up there with my parents. When I finished school I became a fire fighter as my father”, tells Borissov.
The edition comments that Borissov who is a disputable figure will most probably be the next Bulgarian prime minister.
His promise to get Bulgaria rid of the corruption meets the skepticism of the European diplomats, comments also “Financial times”.
“GERB aims at actual reforms for which political will is needed”, the newspaper cites Borissov.
The mayor of Sofia stresses also that the reform in the judicial system should be a main priority for Bulgaria if it wants to be comparable to the other EU member states.
Boiko Borissov who has hired economists from the World bank, who to help his economic policy, outstands the other right-centrist politicians in Bulgaria, writes also FT.
If GERB win the elections on 5 July, they will have to form a coalition with at least two other right-centrist parties in order to form the new government and the talks might continue for several weeks.
